Kawhi Leonard has not removed his particular interlaces. Kawhi Leonard rarely causes a stir on social media, but he did on Sunday night. Leonard appeared to have cut off his braids in a photo that went viral, but it turns out he didn’t get a haircut. Dejounte Murray also shared a picture in which Leonard’s uncut hair is clearly visible.
Leonard took the picture that went viral while he was at the WBA lightweight title fight in Las Vegas between Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin. I have to admit that when I saw it, I was certain that the 32-year-old had cut off his braids, but the angle from which it was taken only made it appear so.
Leonard has worn that plaited search for fundamentally his whole profession and I was somewhat intrigued to know why he had chosen to switch things up at this point. It appeared to be an odd choice, but it turns out that not much has changed. This is really the second time that the media and the fans have been swindled by a viral image of Leonard.
In 2017, a picture of him with a new haircut went viral on the internet, only to be discovered to be a hoax later. This most recent picture wasn’t phony however wound up prompting many erroneously accepting that Leonard’s notable twists were no more. I will definitely wait for some video evidence the next time I see an image of the six-time All-Star with a new haircut.
Actually, Kawhi Leonard is a “fun guy.” During his 2018 viral introductory press conference with the Toronto Raptors, Leonard famously described himself as a “fun guy.”
Over the years, not many people believed that, but WNBA star Cameron Brink revealed that Kawhi is a very funny person. “Kawhi was the part that was the funniest. He’s also hilarious to the bone. He has wit. And all of the New Balance employees, including our head of marketing, have made him laugh more than anyone else. So I resembled give me my blossoms. Kawhi assuming that you’re watching this. He was acting in the same manner as (mocks Kawhi’s laugh). He is so funny.
I don’t even remember what I was saying. He resembles the male form of Aubrey Square – gruff, dry humor. What’s more, he continued saying ‘When is this going to be finished? When will we be able to go home? Is it finished yet? …” Brink and Leonard were filming a commercial for New Balance at the time, and I would have expected him to specialize in dry humor. It is only a pity that the majority of us won’t presumably ever get to him at his most entertaining.
The two-time DPOY will have to be content with watching how well he plays on the court. In the 2023-24 season, Leonard found the middle value of 23.7 places, 6.1 bounce back, 3.6 helps, 1.6 takes, and 0.9 blocks per game for the Los Angeles Trimmers. He also managed to avoid injury for the majority of the campaign, but in April, he injured his knee. It prompted Leonard missing the finish of the ordinary season and keeping in mind that he got back in the saddle in the end of the season games, it was clear he wasn’t at his best.
The Trimmers star just wound up playing two games in the series and his group wound up losing in six games to the Dallas Nonconformists. It is still enjoyable to watch Leonard perform at his best, but at this point, he has demonstrated that he cannot be relied upon to maintain his health.
