Pittsburgh This offseason, it appears like the Pittsburgh Steelers are still looking to make a major acquisition, and Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers may be their first choice.
The Steelers are probably not done adding players to their roster, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. When asked if the team’s next move would be to sign free agency wide receiver Mike Williams, he stated it “might be a bigger catch.”
The 49ers wide receiver tweeted to Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, stating he’s heard the two look similar, which furthered the anticipation surrounding Aiyuk and the team.
According to reports, the Steelers have considered a deal for the San Francisco standout. According to reports, the 49ers recently rejected an offer from the Jacksonville Jaguars and requested a counter offer that included wide receiver Zay Jones and a first-round pick.
