In the 2024 New Year’s Honours list, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has been awarded a CBE, while former McLaren head Ron Dennis has been knighted.
This is the second set of honours bestowed upon King Charles III during his reign, and the first after his actual coronation in May.
Throughout the year, the Red Bull Racing team won all but one of the 22 grand prix races.

Horner is awarded the CBE in the New Year’s Honours list.
Horner, who joined the team in 2005, won his first constructor’s title at the age of 35 in 2010.
Horner was granted the OBE at the 2013 Queen’s Birthday Honours, and he described himself as “shocked but very honoured” at the time.
The CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) honour upgrades him from officer to commander.
Dennis became a knight.
Former McLaren CEO Ron Dennis has also been knighted after receiving a CBE.
Dennis worked with McLaren Racing for more than 35 years, the last 28 of which he was team principal.
During that period, he co-won multiple championships with legendary drivers such as Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, and Lewis Hamilton.
