KEATON MITCHELL, RAVENS RB, IS OUT FOR THE SEASON

Following the Baltimore Ravens’ 23-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport verified that star rookie running back Keaton Mitchell sustained a torn ACL.

“Keaton Mitchell, one of their bright young stars with breakout ability, has suffered an ACL tear, sources said after the MRI,” according to Rapoport. “His season is over but he should make a full recovery.”

Mitchell immediately became an impact player for the Ravens after missing the first five games of the season due to injury, accumulating 396 yards and two touchdowns on 47 rushes in just eight games.

KEATON MITCHELL, RAVENS RB, IS LIKELY DONE FOR THE SEASON

In the Ravens’ 23-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday night, running back Keaton Mitchell likely sustained a season-ending knee injury.

Mitchell was having a fantastic day, gaining 73 yards on the ground and two receptions for 15 yards, until he sustained a stomach-turning knee injury early in the fourth quarter, forcing him to be carried off the field and then transported to the locker room. Mitchell was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game and is expected to miss the balance of the regular season and playoffs. Baltimore will provide depth by signing Melvin Gordon to the active roster.

The Ravens also lost safety Marcus Williams to a groyne injury on the final play of the first half, and offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley to concussion protocol.

Ravens gain safety Geno Smith took over the Jags’ first drive of the second half after Marcus Williams was hurt on the final play of the first half while making the touchdown-saving tackle on Zay Jones.

Williams had a groyne injury and is questionable to return.
