On Saturday, the Buffalo Bills signed Austin Johnson to a one-year contract, adding another player to their roster.
The defensive tackle, who has played for the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, and Los Angeles Chargers, now signs with the Bills. With his height of 6 feet 4 inches and weight of roughly 315 pounds, Johnson is a strong contender to play at 1-tech behind DaQuan Jones, a player he is quite familiar with.
Here are the things Bills supporters should know about Johnson when he joined the team.
didn’t start to like football until high school.
A friend of DaQuan Jones’s father recruited him to play football. Johnson tried his hand at football even though he was a swimmer at the time. Johnson admitted that he did not immediately love football.
In a Tennessee Titans promotional film, Johnson stated, “I hated it the first two years I played it.” “I fell in love with it when I was a high school student.”
Johnson went on to say that he fell in love with the game after seeing a particular play.
Johnson remarked, “I remember the play my sophomore year and I was starting.” While I’m on the other side of the ball, the quarterback is scrambling as he runs out of time. And while everyone is cheering, I’m just sprinting across the pitch when I hit him and go out of bounds. And I think, “I could grow accustomed to this.”
