Rob Halford and Alice Cooper Join Forces for Monumental Rock ‘N’ Roll Resurrection Tour This October–November: Two Legendary Titans Unite to Celebrate Decades of Shock, Power, and Pure Metal Majesty in a Once-in-a-Lifetime Spectacle of Theatrical Mayhem, Electric Nostalgia, and Unshakable Love for Rock’s Undying Spirit

    Introduction: When Legends Align

In the realm of rock and roll, there are icons—and then there are titans. Rob Halford, the leather-clad “Metal God” of Judas Priest, and Alice Cooper, the theatrical master of shock rock, are two such titans. Their influence has shaped the sound, style, and swagger of multiple generations. Now, in a collaboration that has sent shockwaves through the global rock community, these two trailblazers are joining forces for an epic co-headlining tour spanning October and November 2025.

Dubbed The Resurrection Tour, the upcoming concert series is more than just a musical event—it’s a celebration of rock and roll in its purest, most powerful form. Together, Halford and Cooper will take the stage across North America and Europe, honoring decades of rebellion, spectacle, and sound that defined a genre and captivated the world.

A Partnership Forged in Fire and Theater

Though Halford and Cooper come from different corners of the rock universe—Halford rising from the British steel mills with thunderous metal and Cooper erupting from Detroit with dark, theatrical shock rock—their paths have often intersected in spirit. Both have defied conventions, redefined masculinity in music, and elevated the stage into a battleground of sound and drama.

Their mutual respect is no secret. “Alice is the original rebel,” Halford has said in interviews. “He showed us how to put on a show, how to embody the spirit of rock. Now, we get to bring our worlds together.”

Alice Cooper is equally thrilled. “Rob Halford is a force of nature,” he said. “We’re both here to prove that real rock and roll still lives, breathes, screams, and bleeds. And we’re doing it in the loudest, wildest way possible.”

The Resurrection Tour: Dates, Venues, and Vision

The Resurrection Tour is set to launch in early October 2025 with a massive opening show at Madison Square Garden in New York City—a symbolic choice that underscores the gravitas of the moment. From there, the tour will travel to major cities including Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Paris, Berlin, and Milan, before culminating in a climactic two-night finale in Birmingham, UK—Halford’s hometown.

Each night will feature full sets from both legends, with Halford and the Judas Priest ensemble delivering molten metal anthems, while Cooper unleashes his signature brand of macabre theater. Fans can expect elaborate stage designs, pyrotechnics, surprise collaborations, and perhaps even a few unreleased songs written specifically for the tour.

Insiders report that the duo is even planning a joint encore for each show—likely a medley of classic rock hits reimagined through the dual lens of shock and steel. “It won’t be just two concerts stapled together,” says Richie Faulkner, Priest’s guitarist. “It’s going to be a ritual. A resurrection.”

Two Icons, Two Legacies, One Unbreakable Spirit

To fully appreciate the magnitude of this tour, one must understand what Rob Halford and Alice Cooper represent—both to music and to culture.

Rob Halford, as the voice of Judas Priest, has shaped heavy metal’s sound for over fifty years. From the snarling urgency of British Steel to the futuristic fire of Painkiller and the modern fury of Invincible Shield, Halford’s piercing vocals and defiant presence have made him a symbol of power, identity, and resilience. Coming out as gay in 1998, he also shattered boundaries and brought much-needed visibility to queer voices in rock—redefining what it means to be masculine, rebellious, and proud.

Alice Cooper, meanwhile, pioneered a theatrical genre of his own. With guillotines, snakes, blood, and costume changes, Cooper transformed concerts into grand horror operas. But beneath the spectacle lies a songwriter of extraordinary range and wit, crafting classics like “School’s Out,” “Poison,” and “I’m Eighteen”—songs that tapped into the confusion, rebellion, and fantasies of youth. His influence is felt not only in rock, but also in punk, glam, and even metal.

Together, these two legends cover a vast and essential territory in music history. Their tour is a statement: rock is not dead—it’s just been waiting for the right priests and prophets to call it back to life.

The Setlists: A Journey Through Decades of Decibels

While the official setlists remain under wraps, fans are already speculating wildly—and for good reason. Judas Priest’s catalog includes everything from the galloping “Hell Bent for Leather” to the apocalyptic “Electric Eye” and the blistering “Painkiller.” Their recent album Invincible Shield also yielded modern classics like “Panic Attack” and “Crown of Horns,” which are expected to feature prominently.

Alice Cooper’s selections promise to be just as dynamic. With his deep discography spanning over 30 albums, he can pull from early proto-punk epics, ‘80s glam rock, and more recent introspective tracks like those from Detroit Stories.

One confirmed rumor has both Halford and Cooper rehearsing a special duet version of “Welcome to My Nightmare,” reimagined with a double-vocal approach. Another insider claims they’re working on a new collaborative track titled “Resurrect the Night,” which may debut on the tour.

    The Visuals: Theater Meets Thunder

Expect no shortage of eye-popping theatrics. Halford has reportedly commissioned custom battle-themed stage armor for the tour, blending his traditional leather-and-studs aesthetic with futuristic dystopian elements. Alice Cooper, ever the showman, is rumored to be reviving his electric chair segment and even adding a brand-new illusion involving a mirror maze and a doppelgänger.

Stage designer Andy Meyer, known for his work with Rammstein and Lady Gaga, has been hired to oversee the combined visuals. “We’re creating something between a metal cathedral and a haunted cabaret,” Meyer says. “There will be fire. There will be illusions. There will be resurrection.”

Lighting, smoke, rotating platforms, massive LED walls, and custom video intros will turn every venue into a temple of rock revivalism. And while both acts bring visual muscle, the focus remains—above all—on the music.

Passing the Torch While Holding the Flame

Perhaps the most touching part of the Resurrection Tour is what it means to younger musicians and fans. For newer acts like Ghost, Halestorm, or even Turnstile, both Cooper and Halford remain guiding lights. Their resilience, creativity, and refusal to conform have made them patron saints for rebels across genres.

“This tour isn’t just about looking back,” says Halford. “It’s about keeping this fire alive. We want kids in the crowd to see us and think, ‘That could be me.’ Because rock and roll isn’t about age. It’s about attitude.”

Alice Cooper agrees: “I’ve always said, rock is a forever teenager. It doesn’t grow old—it just grows louder.”

To honor this intergenerational spirit, several shows on the tour will feature young rock bands as openers. Rumors suggest that The Warning, a rising Mexican all-female rock trio, and British retro-metal outfit Green Lung may be among them.

A Tribute to Survival and Evolution

Both Cooper and Halford have endured personal battles—addiction, depression, illness, public scrutiny, and the slow churn of the industry machine. But they’ve come through not just intact, but electrified. In recent years, Halford has opened up about overcoming substance abuse and reclaiming joy in his art. Cooper, a devout Christian now, remains dry and humorous, still wielding a snake on stage but with a clear mind and a warm heart.

Their stories speak to more than just endurance. They speak to evolution. They show that rock stars don’t need to burn out—they can adapt, inspire, and even heal.

The Merchandise: Symbols of the Movement

Fans attending the Resurrection Tour won’t just leave with ringing ears and melted faces—they’ll also take home artifacts of the moment. Joint tour shirts, patches, signed vinyl reissues, and a limited-edition photo book capturing behind-the-scenes images from the rehearsals and shows will be available. A deluxe Resurrection Box Set is also in the works, featuring unreleased tracks, video footage, and handwritten notes from both artists.

Even more intriguing: a special line of Rob Halford–designed leather jackets, co-branded with Alice Cooper’s signature eye-makeup motif, is being produced in limited quantities. Early photos suggest a hybrid of biker and gothic aesthetics—a wearable ode to dual legacies.

Conclusion: A Tour That Defines a Generation—and Inspires the Next

As October approaches, anticipation grows. Tickets have already sold out in multiple cities within minutes of presale. Fans are organizing pilgrimage-like trips, traveling across states and countries to witness what may be the most iconic rock tour in recent history.

But The Resurrection Tour isn’t just about music, theater, or nostalgia. It’s about belief—belief in the eternal power of rock, the enduring relevance of its rebels, and the magic that happens when legends come together not just to relive the past, but to create the future.

In an industry often obsessed with youth and algorithms, Rob Halford and Alice Cooper stand tall, defiant, and fully alive—two giants with hearts still pounding to the primal beat of rock and roll.

And when the lights go down and the first chords scream through the amps this October, one thing will be unmistakably clear:

This is not a farewell. This is a resurrection.
