Pittsburgh The Pittsburgh Steelers are prepared to settle if their Plan A doesn’t pan out. That’s what the most recent reports indicate, anyway.
Mason Rudolph hopes to find somewhere and start his career as a starting quarterback outside of Pittsburgh by pursuing a “fresh start” in free agency. If that kind of opportunity arises, it’s difficult to hold him accountable since the Steelers still view Kenny Pickett as their “guy.”
According to sources, the organisation has a backup plan in place if Rudolph does go, but it won’t affect Pickett or the team’s standing. In essence, it gives Pickett the starting position and expresses the hope that, with no genuine opposition this summer, he will be prepared to advance.
The Steelers’ level of urgency at the start of the offseason has definitely decreased. It almost seems insignificant to employ a new offensive coordinator and some offensive coaches, isn’t that right?
