Oh wow, Brock Purdy opens up about his search for the big play after throwing 4 INTs. Let’s hope he finds his groove and brings some sweet redemption to the field!

Brock Purdy admitted to aiming for the home run ball down big Christmas night, proving that you can’t win them all.

The quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers is coming off his worst game in his young NFL career. Purdy threw four interceptions against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16, the most by any 49ers quarterback since Colin Kaepernick in 2015. Worse, they occurred before the ten-minute mark of the third quarter.

The signal-caller, on the other hand, recognises his errors and accepts the national media’s criticism. Purdy is completely aware of the footage and plans to analyse it as soon as possible to figure out what transpired.

However, a loss can also be a victory for progress, with Purdy utilising his misfortunes to improve as quickly as possible.

“The game and the situation happened really quickly,” Brock Purdy explained on Thursday. “They rose quickly. They’re up by several scores in the second and third quarters, and we need to make a play. It was a terrific mental experience to realise that you have to take it one play at a time, think clearly about what we’re doing each play, and not attempt to come back into the game with one or two explosions.

“I had to learn those things.” Towards the end, I was more interested in making big plays to come back into the game than in playing quarterback. That is what I mean.

The Iowa State alum now has an 18-5 record as an NFL starter, with the pros far outweighing the cons. Even so, Christmas 2023 came as a surprise to many, including Brock Purdy.

The 49ers have a history of struggling when they are behind by more than one score. Purdy was partially to blame for the Red & Gold’s 0-38 record when behind by more than eight points entering the fourth quarter under coach Kyle Shanahan.

Down big, the inexperienced QB began seeking to prolong plays, which San Francisco hasn’t really challenged him to do. As a result, a tremendously athletic AFC contender made great defensive plays/turnovers.

Purdy admits to attempting to do too much against the Ravens in Week 16, relying on the offense’s approach.

“It’s not having the right mindset at quarterback, having the aggressive trigger to make the big throw and big play, but you don’t want to turn the ball over again.” It’s a bad mental condition. But that’s the learning lesson, that every play has a life of its own and that big plays don’t win games,” he remarked.

The gunslinger also believes in his ability to make the throws, so there is some back-and-forth.

Brock Purdy, 24, was a pre-game MVP candidate after being second in the NFL in passing yards (4050). In fact, the Arizona native is on pace to beat Jeff Garcia (4,278) as the 49ers’ single-season passing leader in Week 17.

Yes, he had a disastrous game. But it won’t distract Brock Purdy, the seven-knee QB who is focused on the task at hand.

“My process and routine is going to be the same, like all year,” he said. “It’s about being in the moment, being smart with the ball, and doing what coaches ask.” Obviously, it is to be wise. In terms of the preparation for the game, I’ll be the same man I’ve been all year. It’s all about the heat of combat.”

Purdy, on the other hand, will utilise the outside noise and his blunders to his advantage, hoping to recapture the chip on his shoulder that propelled him to the top of the quarterback rankings.

    “It’s a no-brainer for me.”

“People can say things and you can believe them. You need to have that chip on your shoulder, put your head down, go to work, and show your colleagues that you’re the guy week in and week out.”

That approach, combined with his talent, is one of the reasons Shanahan and the 49ers are so confidence in their young quarterback. He’s coachable and responds well when he’s up against a wall.

“I think it’s him.” “When I coach him, he’s like that,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said of Purdy on Friday. “He expresses his thoughts. I say what I believe. He’s a humble man who is fiercely competitive. That’s all Brock.

“That’s how I see him dealing with talking to people outside of here.” He’s
