Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann maintains that his team ‘couldn’t stop’ Mason Greenwood after Getafe overcame a 3-1 deficit to draw 3-3 at the Estadio Metropolitano on Tuesday night.
Getafe dramatically fought back to steal a point in additional time, extending their stellar run of play. After going down to 10 men in the first half, Atleti regained control of the game, with goals from Griezmann and Alvaro Morata both coming after the break.
Oscar Rodriguez added another goal in minute 87, but not before Borja Mayoral had already scored to keep the score at 3-1. Mayoral was then given the opportunity to tie the score at three by tipping his shot into the bottom corner.
